Pool facilities on Park Island
My favorite pool on Park Island is the outdoor pool at the Blue Blue Club.
The other pools are located at the Green Green Club house, in the middle of the Park Island (again with communal jacizzie), and also a huge outdoor pool near the Phase 5 apartments.

Right now, as things warm up, one thing I enjoy is eating a meal overlooking the pool, and then having a relaxing swim, followed by relaxation the jacuzzie. I usually swim 2 to 3 times a week, and I find it a great form of exercise.
One thing I really like about Park Island is that apart being surrounded by ocean (where you can swim if you wish) there are a large number of resort-style pools to chose from on the island. The Blue Blue club has the outdoor pool (pictured above) and an excellent Olympic style indoor pool (pictured below), also with 3 jacuzzie (one large mixed-sex one, and then one each in the mens and ladies rooms, along with steam saunas, dry saunas, etc).

What I really like about these pools, is that they are not the typical Hong Kong style boring rectangle shaped pools. Rather, they are shaped more like the pools you find in 5 star resort-style hotels, and yet are at the same time very functional for people who want to do proper swimming.
If you live on Park Island you can also book a private pool with BBQ facilities and private kitchen at the Chic Chic club. A great way to spend the weekend with friends!
Here is a picture of a Park Island resident enjoying a private pool party with friends.

Looks nice. So can visitors to Park Island also use the pool?
ReplyDeleteThe pools on Park Island are not open to the public. The only way a visitor can use the pool is if they are a guest of a resident of Park Island, and the resident obtains a visitor's pass for them.
ReplyDeleteI visited my friend there and we went swimming. Its really a very nice complex and pools they have there. Hard to belive for Hong Kong to have this.
ReplyDeletePark Island has 5 pools, and then of course the biggest pool of all, the ocean! I prefer the big pool for my mornnin dip.
ReplyDeleteProbably the best private pools in all of HK, seriously. I am not sure any estate has anything better then what Park Island has for its pools. Anyone know anything as good? I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes,it's called The Cullinan in Kowloon station.Better staff than Park Island too!
DeleteHello! How about the gym? Where is the best gym in Park Island? I'm an expat too and just moved here.
ReplyDeleteWellcome to Park Island. Every one has their own preference, but I prefer the pool at the Blue Blue club, especially in the summmer time for outdoors, whereas I prefer the gym at Green Green. Also depends which spa and sauna you like too. A few of the guys also get together for football so come join. There's also a basketball court in the village, more for the locals to use, and you can go hiing and running around the island. The oldie also go swimming in the ocean early each morning, and there are groups of taichi sessions each morning, that are mainly for the chinese, but a few gwailos join them also.
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin for the advice! I tried the swimming pool at Blue Blue club and is quite nice... too bad the water is not that deep. I been to Green Green Club but also at the pool... and yes the gym seems nice. I think i will go to gym there soon. When you guys go to play football and where? :D

ReplyDeleteProbably the best pools for any condo in Hong Kong.
ReplyDeleteWe arrived in HK last week and moved to Park Island. These pools are heavenly. Its like a resort. Very happy to have found Park Island as our family home.
ReplyDeleteFantastic pools, hut tubs and facilities. Truely blessed to have found this place.

One of the best pools in Hong Kong! I envy the people who live here and those who bought when it was cheaper to buy there.
ReplyDeleteThe pools are among the best features anyone who moves to PI would enjoy. 5-star quality and more than makes up for the travel to and from Central. Absolutely love making up in the weekends chilling by the pool with my iphone playing and nursing my hangover. :)
