Random Park Island Photos
A few random photos I took around Park Island with my new i-phone, trying to be a little fancy with the panoramic mode.

The clear blue sky is just too good to be true. Hope to see more of it.

ReplyDeletePrices are going up due to gready HK landlords
ReplyDeleteHarold, I am not sure how much sense that statement makes. If prices were falling, would it make sense to say prices are falling due to "generous landlords", or due to "greedy buyers not willing to offer market prices?
ReplyDeleteThe fact of the matter is that supply and demand is what is driving prices. Park Island is still very afforable, and people are increasingly interested to buy there. So, if you were a seller, of course you would want a decent price, right?
Compared with other forms of investment a 3.5% yield on properties at Park Island is still ,at the attractive end compared with say bank deposits, bonds or other mainstream investment products. Park Island Blogger is correct in stating that demand and supply determines prices. If there are no willing buyer then there would be no "transacted prices", maybe Harold is trying to make a point that buyers are stupid to agree to pay the gready (sic) HK landlords? Whatever point he is making PI prices are still cheaper than most places on HK Island.
