Justin Tseng proposes a multi-story carpark building and MTR station for Ma Wan

I have heard that District counsellor Justin Tseng has proposed a multi-story carpark for Ma Wan along with a Ma Wan MTR station to the Government and also to property developer Sun Hung Kai.

The location proposed iss under Tsing Ma Bridge (currently a football field). Cars would access the building with a short bridge from Ma Wan Road.

If you have any details on this proposal, please do let me know.

Justin, if you are reading this please feel free to post here and elaborate also.

  1. Don't take away the football field!!! you can build the car park next to it, right where the coaches are parking currently.

  2. Agree with anonymous. There is no need to build on the football field. Multi-storey car park can be multi use, with ground floor for Caoch/buses while upper floors for private cars.
    Justin Tseng has my support.

  3. how did you learn this?
do you know what the procedure is, and a time-scale?
how do we get in touch with Justin, surely a feasibility study would be needed.

  4. A car park can be build in any location nearby. No need to take away the football field. It is best to discussed this matter briefly before deciding to destroy anything.

  8. Here's an idea? Why not remove that hidious Noah's Ark and replace that with a car park or a big structure like entertainment building/hotel etc with bottom 8 levels for parking both for residents and guests. Now would that not work for all? And who would really miss the Ark apart from currupt Mr Kwok's religius wife?

  9. Any update on this? The sooner they get rid of the Ark and replace it with something more useful the better. A hotel and shopping complex with parking for residents woudl be ideal.
