Today's post is not about property prices on Park Island...

The sun sets over the ocean at Ma Wan Let's move away, for a moment, from the on-going focus on rising property prices in Hong Kong. I'm not going to claim credit for this photo. It was sent to me by a Park Island blog reader. But I love the photo, and it captures so well the peaceful feeling you get if you have an apartment facing in this direction on Park Island as the sun sets, perhaps with a beer or a cigar in your hand, sitting on the balcony unwinding a little after a hard day in "the city".

Park Island Sunset I took this photo of the sun setting over Park Island last night. What great weather we have had this month in Hong Kong!

Park Island - Which tower is best?

Image
Park Island Tower Everyone on Park Island has an opinion on which tower is best, telling you x Tower is best as it get the most sun, faces the best direction, and so on. I personally prefer the outward facing apartments that have ocean views and these do command a higher price. Higher floors also mean a higher price. And apartments that have balconies tend to be higher priced than those without Some will prefrer certain towers that get more sunlight. Others prefer towers that get less sunlight. There is one tower that is closest to where they treat the serwage on Park Island, which might be slightly lower priced as a result of that location. This photo is the "prestigious" tower 5 Park Island. For a range of reasons Tower 5 apparently is the best tower on the island. It has the best location, apparently, from a Fung Shui perspective. It is the tower closest to HK island, so apparently "captures the wealth" from Hong Kong, and brings good fortune to the owner.

A photo of Park Island

Park Island In this photo of Ma Wan you can see the main apartment complex development on Park Island. The smaller houses are part of the village, and the tall buildings are the modern apartment buildings. As you can see, the views from the apartment buildings is fantastic. You can also see the ferry terminal and the bridges that connect Park Island to Hong Kong.
