A few photos of the Park Island Villas

Image
I took a few photos of the new Park Island Villas on Ma Wan yesterday. As I wrote earlier, it seems they are being spruced up for promotional launch. An agent I spoke to today told me he has heard they will be priced at 22,000 to 25,000 per square foot. Apparently they will also be given a special name. Ie, not Phase 6 Park Island, but something more prestegious sounding such as Ocean Villas, for example. Tsing Ma Bridge - when does it light up?

Image
One of the spectacular features for some of the Park Island apartments, is the view of the Tsing Ma bridge, which supports not only motor vehicle traffic in Hong Kong, but also into which the MTR airport express train is encased. (The trains runs along the underside of the bridge, although it is encased in a kind of "tunnel". Imagine how awesome the view from the train windows woud be without the "tunnel" under the bridge. Anyhow, the bridge at night is all light up in the evenings (much like many international bridges are), and really is quite beautiful to look at. But, I have never actually seen the lights come on. Until today, when at exactly 7pm, the lights all come on one by one, starting at both sides of the bridge, and meeting in the middle. Not sure if its always 7pm, but if you ever want to see the light coming on, I think 7pm is the time it will take place! A few photos below. I took these with a camera phone, so if you have a better quality photo, plea...

Park Island - Which tower is best?

Image
Park Island Tower Everyone on Park Island has an opinion on which tower is best, telling you x Tower is best as it get the most sun, faces the best direction, and so on. I personally prefer the outward facing apartments that have ocean views and these do command a higher price. Higher floors also mean a higher price. And apartments that have balconies tend to be higher priced than those without Some will prefrer certain towers that get more sunlight. Others prefer towers that get less sunlight. There is one tower that is closest to where they treat the serwage on Park Island, which might be slightly lower priced as a result of that location. This photo is the "prestigious" tower 5 Park Island. For a range of reasons Tower 5 apparently is the best tower on the island. It has the best location, apparently, from a Fung Shui perspective. It is the tower closest to HK island, so apparently "captures the wealth" from Hong Kong, and brings good fortune to the own...
