If you look at the end of the graph, you will see a massive 10.86% jump in prices over the last month.

 Below are the current average prices (gross PSF and net PSF):

The data is taken from  Centadata HK property price data website (which is the same source I have primarily used in previous updates). 

 For Park Island property owners who have been agonizing over recent stock market losses, take some comfort that at least your property investment continues to rise in value.

    MARKET WILL GO UP A LOT NEXT YEARS AS CHINA MONEY PRINTING WILL GO TO HK PROPERTY.ONLY A FOOL WILL SELL NOW AS MORE SMART FOOLS FROM CHINA WILL KEEP BUYING.

      yes, chinese buyers are booming at the moment. as limited to buy in Chinese cities they will all start to buy in HK again

    Up or down dont really matter as a home is a home to live in. Only really matters if you plan to sell and retire somewhere and leave HK whcih many HK people never really do.

    Ah yes the neverending Chinese bubble that just keeps on giving and giving to HK. Well giving to those who have a foot in the market already. Maybe China can keep this going another 20 years but there will be bumps and pumps all along the way.

    They are saying prices might have peaked now and could call 5% next 3 years. Even so I cant even fathom how people can afford to buy property in HK.

    I wouldn't say now is a GREAT time to invest. That happens only every 7 years or so in HK. But yes, I still think now is a good time to buy. Long term Park Island will do very well and we will look back on today's prices as being bargains.

My favorite pool on Park Island is the outdoor pool at the Blue Blue Club. Blue Blue Club Outdoor Pool Right now, as things warm up, one thing I enjoy is eating a meal overlooking the pool, and then having a relaxing swim, followed by relaxation the jacuzzie. I usually swim 2 to 3 times a week, and I find it a great form of exercise. One thing I really like about Park Island is that apart being surrounded by ocean (where you can swim if you wish) there are a large number of resort-style pools to chose from on the island. The Blue Blue club has the outdoor pool (pictured above) and an excellent Olympic style indoor pool (pictured below), also with 3 jacuzzie (one large mixed-sex one, and then one each in the mens and ladies rooms, along with steam saunas, dry saunas, etc). When will private cars be allowed on Park Island?

As promised, here is an update on the discussions I have had with the Hong Kong Planning Department and the Hong Kong Transport Department. First, below is the actual response I received in relation to submissions and inquiries related to allowing access and car parking for private cars for Park Island residents.  This office has consulted Transport Department on your proposal. T his email serves as a coordinated reply by Planning Department and Transport Department. The construction of the Airport Core Projects had impacts on the planning for Ma Wan. The Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok is about 12km to the west. The Lantau Link, which is the major transport link between Lantau and the urban area, passes over Ma Wan. Ma Wan is located at a prominent location along the Tsing Ma and Lantau transport corridor and subject to traffic capacity and infrastructure constraints. Green Green Club on Park Island

Park Island has a number of club houses across the Estate. All residents can use any of the club facilities. Normally I hang out at the Blue Blue club, as I like the outdoor pool with the infinity effect overlooking the ocean, but I recently went to the Green Green club for a change, and took a look around. Here are my pics, in no particular order: -The club house has lots of activities for kids (and adults posted). Here is a snapshot of one of several pages of current activities. Park Island Activities for Residents Childrens' activities on Park Island -The Green Green club has a number of insulated music rooms, some with pianos and others empty. This is a GREAT idea for people (and children) who wish to practice music without disturbing neighbours. Its also a good idea for anyone who likes to play the piano, but does not want one taking up space in their apartment!
